Beauty After Breast Cancer
A simple shift in the way we look at cancer education can save lives. Breast cancer patients need information presented in a compassionate, trauma-informed manner. What does that look like? It looks like replacing resources that accidentally intimidate and isolate with ones that reassure, that open conversations with caregivers, and that create a sense of community.

Beauty After Breast Cancer (BABC) is a medically vetted, internationally endorsed book filled with the information patients deemed most helpful. BABC completely revises the standard photos used for education. Our informative, hope-filled photos show varying results of multiple different breast cancer surgeries on a wide range of body types and ages. These photos are accompanied by recovery tips and brief stories from each of the 38 participants.

"This is a beautiful book that tells and shows the stories and paths taken by breast cancer survivors. The photographs are profound. I bought it for my wife, but it helped me, too."
-From Amazon Review
"The book does not push a particular agenda, [and is easily] absorbed at whatever pace feels comfortable...it kind of functions as a private support group- one you can dip into whenever you need it."
-Amy, “Breast Friends”
"This book helps answer the questions of “how do I tell my family” and “what should I expect”? These are questions my medical team never addressed."
- Nancy

"I hope this book reaches everyone going through this. My friend gave me a suggestion recently to create an image of myself on the other side of treatment- recovered...it felt impossible. But this book gave me exactly that- a vision of possibility on the other side.”

- Amanda
"Beauty After Breast Cancer is proof that you can go from lumpectomy to full mastectomy and still be the human you are- as powerful and positive as you’ve ever been…maybe even more so because of what you have survived."
- Linda
